Centre Extends LTC Facility for Its Employees

The Central government has extended the leave travel concession (LTC) facility that allows its employees to visit Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the northeast till September 25, 2022.

The eligible employees get reimbursement of circular journey tickets, besides paid leave.

The Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that an entitled government official could avail the LTC in lieu of his hometown LTC.

He further stated that the facility of air journey for the non-entitled government employees would also be available for visiting the said places.

“As a further convenience, the ease of travel permission is also being granted to undertake journey to these areas by private airlines, whereas normally a government servant is expected to travel by the state-owned Air India,” Singh added.
